Bank fraud helpline numbers in India: how to block your card, UPI and account fast

The official numbers and SMS formats 20 Indian banks give for reporting fraud and blocking cards, UPI and net banking, each checked on the bank's own website.

Do these three things now

  1. Call 1930 to report the fraud, so the receiving account can be held.
  2. Call your bank's fraud or card-blocking number below, block your card, UPI and net banking, and report the transactions as unauthorised. Note the complaint number.
  3. Send your bank a short written complaint (email or letter) with each transaction's date, amount and reference. How quickly you report affects how much of the loss you can be made to bear.

Your rights: RBI's liability rules, now and from 1 January 2027

Only ever use numbers from your bank's official website, app, statement or the back of your card. Scammers plant fake 'customer care' numbers in search results and on social media.
