Privacy policy

Short version: we do not use cookies, we do not run ads, and we do not sell or share personal data. We count page views with a cookie-free analytics tool.

What we collect

• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL and time — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Emails you send us. If you email the desk, we keep your message and address to reply and, for corrections, to keep a record.

• Page-view statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, see which pages are read, and which sites send readers to us. It sets no cookies and does not identify you: according to Vercel, visitors are counted using a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, and only aggregated figures are kept. We see totals, not individuals.

We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or ad networks. Fonts and scripts are served from our own domain. Some article images are loaded from Unsplash, which receives your IP address when it serves them.

Why we process it

To operate and secure the website (legitimate interest) and to respond to messages you choose to send.

How long we keep it

Hosting logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle it, and correction records for as long as the article is published.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us for a summary of personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it. Readers elsewhere have equivalent rights (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR). Email webtask7777@gmail.com; we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we add analytics or anything else that changes this policy, we will update this page and the date above before it takes effect.
